The Win32 launcher is a LOT more stable than the UWP Windows Store version in my opinion (and many others on social media :P) Who knows, maybe the new launcher will be a lot nicer after a few updates. It's only on Windows 11, but at least the old launcher is a lot more stable than the new launcher. Installing the older (and superior) launcher, should fix all BSoD issues.

Your old installations and mods should reappear unless you removed them when you uninstalled the old launcher. The compatibility thing is just to make the popups telling you to 'download the new Microsoft store launcher just for windows 11 and windows 10' go away, if you're actually on Windows 7 or Windows 8, you don't have to do that as the launcher won't actually give you popups (since you're using the operating system that doesn't support the Microsoft store).
